Infocus Bingo 50
Look and Feel
The infocus bingo 50 is entirely having its own different look from Bingo 21. The back side of the phone is curved with matte metal slides. The phone is good looking and looks some what bulky because of thick panels above and below the screen. The front camera and ear piece are prominent with a status LED in upper left corner which can be seen only we lit it up.A large logo of Infocus is centered below the screen. Bingo 50 is now available with 2 different rear covers, one which has a fake leather texture and one with same as sandpaper finish.
This surface picks up the pocket lint and dust very easily. Camera lens, flash and mic are arranged around upper half of the rear. The three holes towards the bottom look like some kind of an accessory connector but are actually for the speaker. The rear panel pops off with relatively little effort. There are two Micro-SIM slots and an independent microSD slot under the cover. The battery is visible , but not removable. It is difficult to reach all corners of the screen when using it with one hand.
Specifications
It has quad-core 1.3Ghz processor which describes Media Tek MT6735 . The size of Ram is 3GB with 16GB memory with the option to add up to 64GB more using microSD card.
It supports 4G on bands 3 and 40, that should cover most current indian networks. The size of screen is 5 inches with a resolution of 720*1280 pixels. It has wifi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and OTG. The capacity of battery is 2500mAh which seems slight low considering phone's bulk as a factor.
Camera features
Bingo 50 have both front and rear camera of 8 pixes each. These both use the same sensor and feature f/2.2 aperture ratings. There is no flash.
Operating system
It uses the latest OS version 6.0 which is called as marshmallow. It has its own InLife UI 2.0 which we found to be a lot less polished than the stock android interface.
A lot of Marshmallow's visual improvements are lost. The app drawer and homescreens have additional functionality which we like if we also like customising everything about our phone.
Battery Usage
It has no EZ launcher that gives simplified interface suitable for first- time users and super power saving launcher which reduces functionality and displays everything in monochrome to help to save power. The SuperPowerSaving mode has a quirk-when switching out of it, Wi-Fi and cellular data remain disabled, and the preferred network type says stuck on 2G.
It consists of some default apps which are useful for users. It has a mobile assistant which manages memory usage and check app permissions. It has power detective shows in which apps and features are draining our battery. It has a App Traffic Control which prevents individual apps from using Wi-Fi or cellular data.It also includes a backup for data backup.
Performance
The performance is pretty satisfied with Bingo 50. The display is bright and vibrant.
The MT6735 processor delivered more on CPU side and less on GPU side. It takes slow while loading of apps and flicks through the interface on some occasions. It can run casual games well and heat was manageable throughout.
The battery lasts 8 hours, 46 minutes. Camera performance is good. It gives bright look photos even in low-light conditions. Autofocus took forever to lock and sometimes it will be totally off. It will be best even for taking selfies which can be taken in night conditions.
The front camera have 8 mp but lacks in some poor definition and brightness. Videos can only be taken at 640*840 with front camera .It have no panorama mode and has a normal mode only and a selection of live filters is available.
