Design
It looks elegant from front and it has 5.5-inch screen with no bezels. It has slightly curved edges and rounded corners. It only comes in Champagne Gold colour option. The handset is completely made up of plastic and it still feels solid. It is light weight with 142 grams. It has 5MP camera on top side of the phone along with earpiece grill and two sensors - ambient light and proximity sensors. It has notification LED and it is locates at the bottom of the display. It has three touch buttons -Recents,Home,Back. Rear camera with 16MP at which 6 lens per unit with triple LED flash.
The back panel is textured matte finish and it is removable. It offers Dual SIM which are both
Micro SIM's and has a microSD card slot under the panel. The top edge has got 3.5mm audio jack along with Micro-USb charging / data syncing port and IR blaster.The volume buttons are present on left edge and power button is present on right side, both keys are awkwardly positioned and slightly difficult to reach. At the bottom edge it contains microphone and loudspeaker grill.
Display
It is made up of 5.5 inch Full HD IPS LTPS (Low Temperature Polycrystalline SiliconDisplay) with 1080*1920 pixel resolution.The brightness levels are a bit low for outdoors and screen is slightly reflective as well.All the colours appear a bit darker because the colour reproduction is a bit oversaturated.
Performance
It has octa-core 64-bit MediaTek Mt6753 SoC clocked at 1.3Ghz, coupled with Malu-T720 GPU and 3GB of RAM. It runs on Marshmallow 6.0 OS and the phone is upgradable to Android Nougat 7.0 OS. It has 32 GB internal storage and you get about 25GB(24.99GB) of free space on first boot. It also supports microSD card upto 32GB.
It doesn't support USB-OTG support and you can't move apps to SD card. The animations are not smooth in UI and appears mostly slow. By default the app drawer is designed for one hand operation, but you can change the layout to full screen as well. First you need to open the app drawer and then from bottom right corner you will see three dots that allows you to change the layout to full screen.
The loudspeaker grill on bottom edge gets muffled mostly . Even audio output isn't loud enough, but the quality is decent from loudspeaker. It has headphones of really poor quality and output in headphones is bad. Overall the Eluga Note is a below average performer. One good thing is it has an IR blaster.
Camera
The size of front camera is 16MP and has triple LED Flash with f/1.9 apperture and 6P lens. Front camera is 5MP with wide angle lens. The rear camera takes below average shots in daylight or well-lit conditions. The HDR shots were a little sharp but they still appear poor and sometimes washed out too. The camera captures pretty quickly but the autofocus and tap-to-tap focus is really slow.
Connectivity and Battery life
It offers dual SIM (micro+micro)and supports 4G VoLTE. It also supports microSD upto 32Gb. It supports wifi 802.11 b/g/n and bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It has 3000 mAh battery which is removable.
It lasts upto 9 hours maximum for an average usage with multiple email accounts, social media apps and a bit of video streaming. With heavy usage like GPS navigation, live broadcastingg,tethering the battery time didn't go beyond 4 hours. For a normal user it serves upto 10-11 hours easily.
